With a PC (optional)-42-≥When you use Windows XP, the other partiesvia the network have to use the WindowsMessenger on Windows XP. When you useother than Windows XP, the other parties viathe network have to use the MSN Messengeron an OS other than Windows XP.≥If the USB Connection Cable is disconnectedfrom the personal computer, the WEB CAMERAmode is cancelled.≥In the Camcorder is used Web Camera, videocannot be recorded onto a tape.ª Setting up the Windows MessengerWhen starting the Windows Messenger for thefirst time, its setup screen is displayed. (However,the screen is not displayed if the WindowsMessenger setup has already been done.) Formore details, please read the corresponding Helpfile.1 Click [Click here to sign in].2 Select [.NET Messaging Service] and click[OK].3 Click [Next] when the [.NET PassportWizard] dialog appears.4 Please carefully read the displayedcontents and then proceed.5 After the setup is completed, sign in andstart the Windows Messenger.6 Click on [Audio Tuning Wizard...] in the[Tools] menu to confirm that equipment isconnected correctly.7 Select [USB Video Device] in the [Camera]menu.≥When access is finished, close WindowsMessenger, then turn off the Camcorder.Finally, disconnect the USB Cable.ª Setting up the MSN MessengerWhen starting the MSN Messenger for the firsttime, its setup screen is displayed. For more details,please read the corresponding Help file.1 Click [Sign In].2 Type in your Sign-in name and password.≥If you do not have your Sign-in name andpassword, click [Get one here]3 Please carefully read the displayedcontents and then proceed.4 After the setup is completed, sign in andstart the MSN Messenger.5 Click on [Audio Tuning Wizard...] in the[Tools] menu to confirm that equipment isconnected correctly.6 Click [Web Camera Settings...] in the[Tools] menu.7 Confirm the [Panasonic DVC Web CameraDevice] is selected.≥For other information about MSN Messenger,please refer to Help.≥When access is finished, close MSNMessenger, then turn off the Camcorder.Finally, disconnect the USB Cable.
