If different, playbackimages will be distorted.ª Quick Start≥During the Quick Start Standby Mode, a minuteamount of electricity is consumed.≥When the Camcorder is left in the RecordingPause Mode for 5 minutes, it will be turned intothe Quick Start Standby Mode. To turn theCamcorder on again, set the [OFF/ON] Switchto [OFF] and then set it to [ON] again. (TheQuick Start Mode will be restored.)≥This Function is not activated when a tape is notinserted even if the Quick Start Recording Lamplights.≥In the following cases, Quick Start is cancelledduring the Quick Start Standby Mode.≥Operate the mode dial≥The Battery is replaced≥If the [QUICK START] Button is pressed andheld for approximately 2 seconds during theQuick Start Standby Mode, the Lamp will go offand the Camcorder will completely be turnedoff.≥If the Camcorder is not operated forapproximately 30 minutes when the Quick StartRecording Lamp lights, the Lamp will go off andthe Camcorder will completely be turned off.≥In the Automatic White Balance Mode, the colormay be recorded unnaturally at the beginning ofthe recording.≥The zoom magnification differs from when it isin the Quick Start Standby Mode and when therecording starts.ª Photoshot≥Photoshot Recording results in slightly inferiorimage quality.ª Self-timer Recording≥When [BEEP SOUND] on the [INITIAL]Sub-Menu is set to [ON], the beep sound will beemitted along with the Recording Lamp flashingin the Self-timer Standby Mode.≥By operating the [OFF/ON] Switch, RecordingStart/Stop Button or Mode Dial, the Self-timerStandby Mode is cancelled.ª Zoom In/Out Functions≥When you are zooming on a faraway subject, asharper focus is achieved if the recordingsubject is 4 feet (1.2 meters) or further from theCamcorder.ª Tele-Macro Function≥The Tele-Macro Function cannot be startedduring recording.≥When the [D.ZOOM] is set to [25k] or [700k],the Tele-Macro Function with the magnificationgreater than 10k is available.≥If a sharper focus cannot be achieved, adjustthe focus manually.In the following cases, the Tele-MacroFunction is cancelled.≥The zoom magnification becomes lower than10k.≥Setting the [OFF/ON] Switch to [OFF].ª Zoom Microphone Function≥The Zoom Microphone Function may not workeffectively if the surrounding noise is too loud.≥It does not work with an external microphone.ª Digital Zoom Functions≥As the magnification of digital zoom increases,the quality of image may deteriorate.≥White balance cannot be set in the digital zoomrange.ª Image Stabilizer Function≥The Image Stabilizer Function does not operatein a dimly lit place. In this case, the [EIS]Indication flashes.≥Under fluorescent lighting, image brightnessmay change or colors may not look natural.≥After-images may appear.≥When a tripod is used, it is recommended thatyou turn the Image Stabilizer off.≥Within the digital zoom range, or whenrecording with a conversion lens attached, theImage Stabilizer Function may not workeffectively.ª Backlight Compensation Function≥When setting the Iris manually, the BacklightCompensation Function does not work.≥By operating the [OFF/ON] Switch, theBacklight Compensation Function is cancelled.
