54Be Sure to Detach the Battery after UseBe sure to detach the Battery from the SDMulti AV Device. (If it is left attached to theSD Multi AV Device, a minute amount ofcurrent is consumed even when the SDMulti AV Device power is off.) If the Batteryis left attached to the SD Multi AV Device fora long time, over discharge takes place.The Battery may become unusable after it ischarged.Disposing of an Unusable Battery≥The Battery has a limited life.≥Do not throw the Battery into fire becauseit may cause an explosion.Always Keep the Terminals of theBattery Clean≥Prevent the terminals from getting cloggedwith dirt, dust, or other substances.≥If you drop the Battery accidentally, checkto see if the Battery body and terminalsare damaged.≥Attaching a deformed Battery to the SDMulti AV Device may damage the SD MultiAV Device.ª Notes on the SD Memory CardWrite-Protect Switch≥The SD Memory Card hasa write-protect switch.Sliding the switch to[LOCK] prevents thecontents in the MemoryCard from deletingaccidentally.ª Cautions for StorageBefore storing the SD Multi AV Device,take the Memory Card out and detach theBattery.Store all the components in a dry place witha relatively stable temperature.(Recommended Temperature:59 to 77oF(15 to 25oC), Recommended Humidity:40 to60%)SD Multi AV Device≥Do not leave the SD Multi AV Device inplaces that expose it to high temperature.Battery≥Extremely high temperatures or lowtemperatures will shorten the life of theBattery.≥If the Battery is kept in smoky or dustyplaces, the terminals may rust and causemalfunctions.≥Do not allow the Battery terminals tocome in contact with metal objects(such as necklaces, hairpins, etc.). Thiscan result in a short circuit or heatgeneration and, if you touch theBattery in this condition, you may bebadly burned.≥Store the Battery in a completelydischarged state. To store the Battery for along period of time, we recommend youcharge it once every year and store itagain after you completely use up thecharged capacity.Memory Card≥When the Memory Card is being read, donot remove the Memory Card, turn off thepower, or subject it to vibration or impact.≥Do not leave the Memory Card in placeswhere there is high temperature or directsunlight, or where electromagnetic wavesor static electricity are easily generated.≥Do not bend or drop the Memory Card.The Memory Card or the recorded contentmay be damaged.≥After use, be sure to remove the MemoryCard from the SD Multi AV Device.≥After use, store the supplied SD MemoryCard in the enclosed bag.≥Do not touch the terminals on the back ofthe Memory Card with your fingers. Do notallow dirt, dust or water to enter it.≥Keep the Memory Card out of reach ofchildren to prevent swallowing.
