DSU Operations4-133610-A2-GB91-90 July 1999Terminal PowerThe Terminal Power (TPwr) report is a displayshowing the status of the connected DTE’s EIA-232 andV.35 interface. The DSU checks the state of therequest-to-send (RTS) lead and reports the DTE poweredON if the voltage is approximately less than –2V orgreater than +2V for both the EIA-232 or V.35 interfaces.To access the Terminal Power report from the top-levelmenu, make the following selections:• Local (F1), or Remot (F2) and Address• Stat• TPwrResultsThe following report displays for the local or remotedevice selected:F1Prt1 Term Power:OnF2 F3If power is detected on the RTS lead, the second linedisplays On. If no power is detected on the RTS lead, thesecond line displays Off.Backup BranchThe Backup (Bckup) branch controls operation of thepoint-to-point dial backup feature.
