2 – General DescriptioniSCSI/Gigabit Ethernet Port LEDs2-12 SN0051102-00 ASiSCSI/Gigabit Ethernet Port LEDsThe iSCSI/gigabit Ethernet ports shown in Figure 2-7 are RJ-45 connectors thatprovide connection to an Ethernet SAN through a 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernetcable. The ports are labeled GE1 and GE2.These ports have two LEDs – the link status LED (green) and the activity LED(also green). The link status LED lights up continuously after the router establishes anEthernet connection. The activity LED lights up when the router sends or receives data over theconnection.Figure 2-7 Gigabit Ethernet (iSCSI) PortsEthernet Port – ManagementThe Ethernet management port shown in Figure 2-8 is an RJ-45 connector thatprovides a connection to a management workstation through a 10/100 Base-TEthernet cable.
