Essentially, it functions as a network ID. It is also used in presets and setupsdownloaded for archive purposes from the ZOMBIE and saved on a PC (see User Entry).When ENTER is hit, an arrow appears after the colon. Any number between 000 and 255 cannow be selected by turning the pulsar.Repeating ENTER saves the new number and returns the user to the submenu item ViewDevice Number.EXIT discards the modification, the old device no. remains valid and the user is returned to thesubmenu item View Device Number.Hands-onAll members or stations of a network must carry their own unique ID. This is a prerequisite for eachand every station to recognize and capture their own messages, while bypassing all otherstransparently.In contrast to the User Entry text, which is arbitrary, the device number must bechosen carefully, in order to avoid confusion with other network members throughoutthe entire facility.
