Match the back panel of your TV to one of the back panelsshown. This section describes the jacks you can use to make connections. There are several ways to connect components toyour TV.Continues on next page...VIDEO 1VIDEO, AUDIO R and L/MONO INPUTS Used to connect components such as aVCR, DVD player, camcorder, laserdisc player or video game consoles with audio/videooutputs. These jacks are used for most audio/video connections between components.Note: If your component has only one input for audio (mono), connect it to the left(white L/Mono) audio jack on the TV and don't connect the right audio part of thecable.• R (RIGHT) AUDIO Provides right audio connection. The right audio connector isusually red.• L/MONO AUDIO Provides left audio connection. The left audio connector isusually white.• VIDEO Provides composite video connection. The video connector is usuallyyellow.• S-VIDEO Provides better picture quality than the video jacks because the color partof the signal is separated from the black and white part of the picture. When usingS-VIDEO IN, make sure to connect left and right audio cables to the L/MONO and RAUDIO Input jacks (an S-Video cable is required).• TV ANT Used to attach either an antenna or cable system to the TV.
