Then plug the end of the power cord into an appropriatewall outlet. Be sure to insert the plug completely. Do not plug into anoutlet controlled by a light switch.Put batteries in the remote• Remove the battery compartment cover from the back of theremote by pushing down on and sliding off the cover.• Insert 2 fresh “AA” batteries. Make sure the polarities (+ and -) arealigned correctly.• Replace the cover.Turn on the Monitor1. Push in the main power button on the back of the monitor(located on the lower-left side).2. Press MONITOR on the remote, or press POWER on the monitor’sfront panel.Note: Pressing the MONITOR button turns on the monitor andputs the remote into monitor mode. “Monitor mode” meansthat the buttons on the remote control operate the monitor’sfunctions.Set up Your MonitorThe first thing you need to do after turning on your plasma monitor isto tune it to the Video Input Channel which corresponds to how it isconnected to the video source signal from the HD receiver, satellitereceiver, or cable box. Make sure the remote is in the monitor modeby pressing the MONITOR button, then press the INPUT buttonrepeatedly until the signal appears for the input you have connected.Remember, the monitor is dependent on an external source forprogramming (HD receiver, cable box, etc); it can’t receive channelson its own.Choose the Menu LanguageIf want to change the language of the on-screen displays, follow thesteps below. The default language is English.1. Press the MENU button on the remote control (the MAIN MENUappears).2. Press the down arrow button to highlight Preferences, then pressOK (the Preferences menu appears with Language highlighted).3. The default language is English.
