To gain access lift the enginecover .a. Free wheel: Rotate the handwheel (AFig.7.10.1) fully anticlockwise.b. Drive position: After moving the machinerotate (A Fig.7.10.1) handwheel fullyclockwise.BRAKE RELEASEThe brake release valve (B Fig.7.10.2) is situatedunder the operators platform and is accessiblethrough the right door.1. Turn the steering wheel so that the rearwheels are in the straight ahead position.2. Move the brake operating lever to the"Brakes off" position.3. Open the right hand door in the operatorsplatform and move the valve lever to itsuppermost position.4. Turn the steering wheel to the left, untilthe steering feels heavy. Do not useexcessive force at the steering wheel.CAUTION(a) Brakes should now be OFF(b) Machine can move if on a slope.(c) Brakes can still be applied by using thenormal brake lever and moving it to the"Brakes on" position.5. Repeat steps 2 to 4 as necessary.6. Move the valve lever under the operatorsplatform to its lowest position beforestarting the engine.NOTE: There is a microswitch fitted to preventstarting the engine unless the valve lever underthe operators platform is in the correct runningposition.
