ADJUSTMENTS 3GB-113.6 PARKING BRAKE _________________________________________________________The brake switch is part of the operator back-up systemand senses when the parking brake is engaged. If thisswitch fails the machine may not start and the operatorback-up system will not operate correctly.To adjust switch:1. Place the parking brake in its full upright (engaged)position.2. Adjust switch (C) by pivoting switch mountingbracket (B). Align sensing area on switch with brakehandle (D).3. Adjust gap between sensing area on switch andbrake lever to 1/16 - 1/8” (1.5 - 3 mm). To adjust gapuse shims (E) or #10 washers (F) as requiredbetween switch and switch mount.4. When properly installed the switch will be closedwhen the parking brake is engaged and open whenthe brake is disengaged.Important: Always check operator back-up system afterreplacing or adjusting switch. (See Safety and OperationManual)Figure 3G3.7 NEUTRAL ADJUSTMENT ___________________________________________________Important: The neutral adjustment on the drive pump ispreset at the factory on all new tractors and replacementpumps. Further adjustment is required only if the pumphas been disassembled for service or neutral leverbracket (F) has become loose.To adjust neutral on pump:1. Disconnect traction pedal linkage from pump.Remove switch mounting bracket from pump.2. Place tractor securely on jack stands so All wheelsare raised off ground.3. Check that tow valve (H) is completely closed.4. Loosen screws (G) holding pump return arm bracketjust enough so it can be moved.5. Engage parking brake and set PTO switch toneutral.The neutral sensing switch must be closed in order tostart the tractor. At this point the switch may not yetbe assembled to pump. To close switch so enginecan be started, place it face down on metal frame.6. Start engine and observe wheels. Rotate bracket (F)in slotted holes until wheels do not turn. Turn offengine and tighten bracket in place.7. Connect traction pedal linkage, Section 3.11, andinstall and adjust switches, Sections 3.8 and 3.9.8.
