CHAPTER 3: O PERATION 13Security Dialog for Console DisplayRaritanConsole, an applet included with your Dominion SX unit, is designed by Raritan to enable the applet toaccess the resources of the user’s computer. Both the copy and paste and the logging features of these applicationsrequire the use of the client computer system resources. Both operations require the user’s permission to operate,and Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator request these permissions in different fashions. In addition, the defaultcode set preferences are stored on the user’s computer.Internet ExplorerBefore the RaritanConsole window appears, a Security Warning screen requests permission to access computerresources. The dialog indicates that the authenticity of the signer, Raritan, has been verified by Thawte Server CA,and it specifies the permissions requested from the user.Figure 14 Security Dialog in Internet Explorer• Click on the [Yes] button to accept all requested permissions. These permissions will not be requested again inthe same session. Check the [Always trust content from…] checkbox to avoid being asked for permissions atthe start of every new session.• Click on the [No] button on the dialog box cancels the RaritanConsole window.Important! Once [No] is selected, the console will not pop up until the browser is closed and a newsession is started.
