MODULAR SAFETY INTEGRATED CONTROLLER MOSAIC74 8540780 • 25th June 2012 • Rev.15EnglishSOLID STATE DEVICEThe SOLID STATE DEVICE functional block checksthe status of the Inx inputs. If the inputs are at24VDC, the Output will be 1 (TRUE), otherwise theOUTPUT will be 0 (FALSE).ParametersManual Reset: If selected, enables the reset requestafter each occupation of the area protected by thelight curtain. Otherwise, enabling of the outputfollows directly the conditions of the inputs. Resetmay be of two types: Manual and Monitored.Selecting the Manual option, only transition of thesignal from 0 to 1 is checked. If Monitored is selected, double transition from 0 to 1 andreturn to 0 is checked. WARNING: if Reset is enabled, the input consecutive to those used by the functionalblock must be used. For example: if inputs 1 and 2 are used for the functional block, input 3 must be used for Reset.Power-on test: If selected, enables the power-on test of the safety device. This testrequires activation and de-activation of the device in order to run a complete functionalcheck and enable the Output terminal. This test is required only at machine start-up(power-on of the module)Filter (ms): Permits filtering of signals from the safety device. This filter can be set tobetween 3 and 250 ms and eliminates any rebounds on the contacts. The duration of thefilter affects calculation of module total response time.Contemporaneity (ms): Determines that maximum permissible time (msec) betweenswitching of two different signals from the device.Enable Error Out: If selected reports a fault detected by the function block.Item description: Permits insertion of a descriptive text of the function of the component. This text will be displayed in the top part of the symbol.
