It may be caused by havingexcessive lateral runs, too many elbows,and exterior portions of the system beingexposed to cold weather.4) Inspect joints, to verify that no pipesections or fittings have been disturbed,and consequently loosened. Also checkmechanical supports such as Wall Straps,or plumbers' tape for rigidity.MAINTENANCE6) Disconnect the inlet gas line.7) Disconnect the EV1, EV2, and ground wiresfrom the valve - as shown below.REMOVING VALVE1) Shut off the gas supply.2) Remove the louvers (and bay door if it ison).3) Open the flush door and remove the door.4) Remove the logs.5) Remove the burner/grate assembly byremoving the two screws and then lift theburner assembly out.Diagram 1: Remove the left and right screwsand then lift out the burner/grate assembly.8) Remove the rear log stand by removing the2 screws.9) Remove the 10 screws securing thevalve tray assembly in place (Diagram2) and then lift the entire assembly out(Diagram 3).Diagram 2: Rear Log Stand andValve Tray Assemblyscrews Valve Tray AssemblyRear Log Standscrews11) Replace with a new a valve tray assemblyand reverse steps 9 - 1.EV1 EV2Ground10) Lift out valve tray.
