19EnglishProblem Cause SolutionI cannot remove the brewgroup.The brew group is not in thecorrect position.Reset the machine in the following way:close the service door. Switch the machineoff and back on again and wait until themachine is ready for use. Try to removethe brew group again. See chapter'Removing and inserting the brew group'for step-by-step instructions.I cannot insert the brewgroup.The brew group is not in thecorrect position.Reset the machine in the following way:close the service door. Leave the brewgroup out. Switch off the machine andunplug it. Wait for 30 seconds and thenplug the machine back in, switch it on andwait until the machine is ready for use.Then put the brew group in the correctposition and reinsert it into the machine.See chapter 'Removing and inserting thebrew group' for step- by-step instructions.The coffee is watery. The brew group is dirty or needsto be lubricated.Remove the brew group, rinse it under thetap and leave it to dry. Then lubricate themoving parts (see 'Lubricating the brewgroup').The machine is performing its self-adjustment procedure. Thisprocedure is started automaticallywhen you use the machine for thefirst time, when you change toanother type of coffee beans orafter a long period of non-use.Brew 5 cups of coffee initially to allow themachine to complete its self-adjustmentprocedure.The grinder is set to a too coarsesetting.Set the grinder to a finer (lower) setting.Brew 2 to 3 drinks to be able to taste thefull difference.The coffee is not hotenough.The temperature is set too low. Set the temperature to the maximumsetting (Fig. 42).A cold cup reduces thetemperature of the drink.Preheat the cups by rinsing them with hotwater.Adding milk reduces thetemperature of the drink.Regardless of whether you add hot or coldmilk, adding milk always reduces thetemperature of the coffee. Preheat thecups by rinsing them with hot water.Coffee does not come outor coffee comes outslowly.The AquaClean water filter wasnot prepared properly forinstallation.Remove the AquaClean filter and dispensesome hot water. If this works, theAquaClean filter was not installedproperly. Reinstall and activate theAquaClean filter and follow all steps inchapter 'AquaClean water filter'.
