Network setup (CLP-320N(K)/CLP-321N/CLP-325W(K)/CLP-326W only)_ 38-Turn off the firewall and Search again. For Window operatingsystem, click Start > Control Panel > Windows Firewall,and inactivate this option. For other operating system, referto its on-line guide.-Turn off the firewall from the third party's program beside theoperating system. Refer to the manual provided byindividual programs.•Direct InputThe Direct Input allows you to search a specific machine onthe network.-Search by IP address: Enter the IP address or the hostname. Then click Next.To verify your machine’s IP address, print a networkconfiguration report (See "Printing a machine report" onpage 72).-Search by network path: To find a shared machine (UNCPath), enter the shared name manually or find a sharedprinter by clicking the Browse button. Then click Next.•HelpIf your machine is not connected to the computer or network,This help button gives you the detailed information about howto connect the machine.5. The searched machines will be shown on the screen. Select the one youwish to use and click Next.If the driver searched only one machine, the confirmation windowappears.6. After the installation is finished, a window asking you to print a test pageappears. If you want to print a test page, click Print a test page.Otherwise, just click Next and skip to step 8.7. If the test page prints out correctly, click Yes.If not, click No to reprint it.8. If you want to register your machine on Samsung website, click On-lineRegistration.If your machine is not connected yet to the computer, click How toconnect?. How to connect? gives detailed information abouthow to connect the machine. Follow the instructions in the window.9. Click Finish.•After the driver setup, you may enable firewall.•If the printer driver does not work properly, follow the steps below torepair or reinstall the driver.a)Make sure that the machine is connected to your machine andpowered on.b)From the Start menu, select Programs or All Programs >Samsung Printers > your printer driver name >Maintenance.c)Select the option as you wish, follow the instruction on thewindow.Macintosh1. Make sure that the machine is connected to your network and poweredon. Also, your machine’s IP address should have been set.2. Insert the supplied software CD into your CD-ROM drive.3. Double-click the CD-ROM icon that appears on your Macintosh desktop.4. Double-click the MAC_Installer folder.5. Double-click the Installer OS X icon.6. Enter the password and click OK.7. The Samsung Installer window opens. Click Continue.8. Read the license agreement and click Continue.9. Click Agree to agree to the license agreement.10. Select Easy Install and click Install. Easy Install is recommended formost users. All components necessary for machine operations will beinstalled.•If you select Custom Install, you can choose individual components toinstall.11. The message which warns that all applications will close on yourcomputer appears. Click Continue.12. Select the installation type you want and click OK.•Typical installation for a local printer: Installs default componentsfor a device that is directly connected to user’s computer.•Typical installation for a network printer: Installs software for adevice that is on the network. The SetIP program automatically runs.If the machine has already configured network information, close theSetIP program. Go to the next step.•Wireless Setting and Installation : For CLP-325W(K)/CLP-326W,you can access Wireless Setting and Installation menu. TheWireless Setting and Installation allows you to install a wirelessnetwork to connect to the machine with USB cable (See "Setting awireless network with USB cable" on page 41).13. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation. Afterthe installation is finished, click Quit or Restart.14. Open the Applications folder > Utilities > Print Setup Utility.•For Mac OS X 10.5~10.6, open the Applications folder > SystemPreferences and click Print & Fax.15. Click Add on the Printer List.•For Mac OS X 10.5~10.6, click the “+” icon; a display window willpop-up.16. For Mac OS X 10.3, select the IP Printing tab.•For Mac OS X 10.4, click IP Printer.•For Mac OS X 10.5~10.6, click IP.17. Select Socket/HP Jet Direct in Printer Type.When printing a document containing many pages, printingperformance may be enhanced by choosing Socket for PrinterType option.18. Enter the machine’s IP address in the Printer Address field.19. Enter the queue name in the Queue Name field. If you cannot determinethe queue name for your machine server, try using the default queuefirst.20. For Mac OS X 10.3, if Auto Select does not work properly, selectSamsung in Printer Model and your machine name in Model Name.•For Mac OS X 10.4, if Auto Select does not work properly, selectSamsung in Print Using and your machine name in Model.•For Mac OS X 10.5~10.6, if Auto Select does not work properly, selectSelect a driver to use... and your machine name in Print Using.Your machine appears on the Printer List, and is set as the defaultmachine.21. Click Add.If the printer driver does not work properly, uninstall the driver andreinstall it.Follow steps below to uninstall the driver for Macintosh.a)Make sure that the machine is connected to your computer andpowered on.b)Insert the supplied software CD into your CD-ROM drive.
