20 EnglishGetting StartedInstalling batteries in the Remote ControlNOTEMake sure to match the “+” and “–” ends ofthe batteries with the diagram inside thecompartment.Assuming typical TV usage, the batteries lastfor about one year.The remote control can be used up toapproximately 23 feet (7 meters) in a straight line.Setting the Remote ControlYou can control certain functions of your TV withthis remote control.When operating a TV with the remote controlPress the TV button to set the remote controlto TV mode.Turn on your TV.While holding down the POWER button, enterthe code corresponding to your brand of TV.If there is more than one code listed foryour TV in the table, enter one at a time todetermine which code works.Example : For a Samsung TVWhile holding down the POWER button, use thenumber buttons to enter 00. If that does notwork, try 15, then 16, etc.If the TV turns off, the setting is complete.You can use the TV POWER, VOLUME,CHANNEL, and Numeric buttons (0~9).NOTEThe remote control may not work on somebrands of TV's.
