Installing Printer Software in Windows5N OTE: If your printer is not already connected to thecomputer, the following window will appear.• After connecting the printer, click Next.• If you don’t want to connect the printer at this time, clickNext, and No on the following screen. Then the installationwill start and a test page will not be printed at the end of theinstallation.• The installation window that appears in this User’sGuide may differ depending on the printer andinterface in use.5 After the installation is finished, a window asking you toprint a test page appears. If you choose to print a testpage, select the checkbox and click Next.Otherwise, just click Next and skip to step 7.6 If the test page prints out correctly, click Yes.If not, click No to reprint it.7 To register yourself as a user of Samsung Printers in orderto receive information from Samsung, select the checkboxand click Finish. You are now sent to the Samsung website.Otherwise, just click Finish.N OTE: After setup is complete, if your printer driver doesn’twork properly, reinstall the printer driver. See “ReinstallingPrinter Software” on page 10.Custom InstallationYou can choose individual components to install.1 Make sure that the printer is connected to your computerand powered on.2 Insert the supplied CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.The CD-ROM should automatically run, and an installationwindow appears.If the installation window does not appear, click Start andthen Run. Type X:\Setup.exe, replacing “X” with theletter which represents your drive and click OK.If you use Windows Vista, click Start →All programs →Accessories →Run, and type X:\Setup.exe.If the AutoPlay window appears in Windows Vista, clickRun Setup.exe in Install or run program field, andclick Continue in the User Account Control window.3 Click Next.• If necessary, select a language from the drop-down list.• View User’s Guide: Allows you to view the User’sGuide. If your computer doesn’t have Adobe Acrobat,click on this option and it will automatically install AdobeAcrobat Reader for you.
