2.21Receiving a fax2 OperationMail boxConfidential transmissionYou can set your machine up to keep documents confidential whencommunicating with other fax machines that have confidential mail boxcapability.Notes:• Make sure that the other party’s fax machine sured be are samsung fax machineconfidential mail box feature.• Find out the confidential mail box number of the other party.1. Load the document face down. If necessary, use resolution, and contrast.For details, see page 2.8.2. Press Menu, then press Mail box on the one-touch keypad. The displayprompts that you can choose the three mail box options; 1.CONF. TX and2.SET, 3.PRINT.3. Press Start/enter to confirm ‘1.CONF. TX’ The display asks you to entera 2-digit mail box number. The mail box number must be preassigned atthe remote fax machine.4. Enter the 2-digit mail box number.5. Press Start/Enter when the number appears correctly in the display. TheLCD prompts you to enter the number of the remote fax machine.6. Enter the number of the remote fax machine. You can also use a one-touch button or a speed dial number. The stored number (and name) willbe appeared in the LCD.7. Press Start/Enter when the number appears correctly in the display. TheLCD prompts you to enter the job name.8.
