Overview of OfficeServ 74001-2 © Samsung Business CommunicationsWAN and LAN FunctionsOfficeServ 7400 is equipped with WAN and LAN interface modules so that it can ex-change data with the external Internet and internal Intranet via 10/100 BASE-T or 1000BASE-TX/SX/LX interfaces without additional data equipment.Wireless LAN ServiceOfficeServ 7400 provides a wireless LAN solution for wireless/wired complex serviceswithin the office. It uses either a Combo Access Point (AP) that serves separated data andvoice or a Basic AP that serves combined data and voice, and supports ‘hand-off’ and QoS.Since OfficeServ 7400 uses a wireless LAN Access Point (AP), it allows users to makewireless/wired voice/data communication and to access the Internet.An efficient and convenient working environment can be created at any time or in anyplace through the use of sophisticated mobile stations.Text-To Speech (TTS) ResponseOfficeServ 7400 converts text messages, such as e-mails, to voice messages and allowsusers to listen to the messages through phones.Mail Server and Instant MessagingOfficeServ 7400 integrates voice messages and e-mails to function as a mail server, whichconverts the integrated messages depending on the users’ needs and resends them, andsends/receives instant messages.A Variety of Application SolutionsOfficeServ 7400 offers a variety of applications such as OfficeServ News, OfficeServEasySet, Internet Call Center, R-NMS, On-module Voice Mail Solutions, Integrated Fax Server,and Digital Integrated Recording Systems.Integrated and Application Solution- ‘Integrated’ means that the OfficeServ 7400 system works together with an ex-ternal server as one integrated unit.- For more detailed information on how to use a particular application, refer to theUser’s Guide supplied with the application.Convenient Installation and ExpandabilityOfficeServ 7400 can be quickly and easily installed. The basic chassis and expansion chas-sis are installed in a 19-inch rack. Multiple service modules are mounted in the universalslots of the chassis.
