27Analogue optionThe digital satellite receiver analogue option is an advanced analogue receiver module speciallydesigned to be used with the digital satellite receiver. With the capacity for 600 channels, single or twin input Low-Threshold tuner* (3.5dB max.), dual IFbandwidth tuner* and high sensitivity PLL audio demodulation circuitry, the analogue option willprovide excellent reception capability even under very poor signal conditions. To cope with the manydifferent scrambling methods used by broadcasters, the analogue option is fully PAL, MAC andCanal+ decoder compatible with fully programmable audio and video loop-through. Apart fromemploying a high sensitivity PLL demodulation circuit, the audio circuitry in this module is also fullyfeatured: Independent Left/Right tuning with 4 selectable audio sub-carrier bandwidths (130, 180, 280,and 500kHz), and 50uS, 75uS, J17 audio de-emphasis, and PANDA compatible dynamic noisereduction system. In order to save you time during installation, the unit is pre-programmed with the most popularchannels, from the most popular satellites together with automatic video frequency scan, selectableLNB local oscillators setting 22kHz tone and DiSEqC support. The most commonly used audiosettings are also pre-stored in the first 25 audio presets (50 in total), with the remainder 25 presetsbeing fully customisable by the user.*Optionalsystem installation:In addition to the connectors shown on page 4 in the main manual, you will find extra LNB inputs and adecoder SCART socket used by the analogue module:For installations with a single LNB feed, connect the cable from the LNB to the main IF input. Connectthe small IF loop cable (supplied) between the Loop Out connector to the Analogue IF Input connector. For installations with two independent LNB feeds, connect the respective LNB cables to the corre-sponding LNB IF inputs, the Loop cable will not be required in this case.decoder SCART:Connect your decoder to the DECODER SCART connector via a SCART cable.Note:Within the decoder SCART there are two pins (pin 10 = SCL and pin 12 = SDA) reserved for analoguechannel data download which your installer may use to download new channel presets from hisreceiver directly into your receiver.
