Call functions36Options during a callYour phone provides a number of functions that youcan use during a call. As many of these options arenetwork services, you may not be able to use all ofthem at all times.Press the Menu soft key during a call to access thefollowing options:Mute/Quit: allows you to switch your phone’smicrophone off, so that the other person cannothear you.Example: You wish to say something to anotherperson in the room, but do not want the otherperson to hear you.Calls: allows you to access the Calls menu. Seepage 60.Phonebook: allows you to access the Phonebookmenu. See page 64.Silent/Quit: does not transmit the key tones. Itallows you to press keys without hearing annoyingkey tones during a call.Send my #: sends your phone number to thecalling person or automated services.DTMF Length: manipulates the audible DTMF(Dual-Tone Multi-Frequency) tones. You can chooseeither long or normal.Call functions37Call forwardingWhen the Call forward menu (Menu 1-5) isenabled, your phone forwards incoming calls toanother phone number, even while your phoneturns off.Activating Call forwarding does not affect outgoingcalls made from this phone. For further details foractivating Call forwarding.Call WaitingWhen the Call Waiting menu (Menu 1-6) isenabled, you can answer an incoming call while youhave a call in progress;When a waiting call is detected, the incoming callalert sounds, depending on your network, and atext notification displays.To answer a waiting call:1. To answer the call, press the key. The phoneconnects the calling person, and places thecurrent call on hold.2. Press the key again to switch between thetwo calls.3. To end the call, press the key or close thephone. All of the calls are disconnected.
