94Voice ToolsIn this menu, you can use the phone’s voicefeatures, allowing you to:• record a voice memo.• set the phone to answer a call and record thecaller’s message.Voice Memo (Menu 5-1)Record (Menu 5-1-1)You can record up to voice memos of 4 minutestotal. This feature shares the memory with theVoice Answer feature and the amount of time formemos are dependent on the available memoryless any callers’ messages; for example, if yourphone has the callers’ messages of 4 minutes total,you cannot record any voice memo.1. Record a memo by speaking to the microphone.When you are recording, a timer displays toshow you the elapsed time.You can pause recording by pressing the Pausesoft key and then resume by pressing theResume soft key.2. Press the End soft key to end recording. Thescreen provides you with the following choices.Scroll to an option and press the OK soft key.• Listen: allows you to review the voice memo.The screen displays the length of the memoalong with the date and time.Voice Tools95• Rerecord: allows you to discard the currentmemo and record another one.• Save: allows you to save the voice memo.• Quit: allows you to quit recording the memoand exit the Record menu.3. When you are satisfied, select the Save optionand press the OK soft key.4. Enter a title for the memo and press the OK softkey.Listen (Menu 5-1-2)When a list of your voice memos displays, scroll tothe memo you want to review and press the OKsoft key. The phone plays back the memo.On the memo list, press the Menu soft key to usethe following options:Play: plays back the memo.Erase: erases the selected memo.Info: shows detailed information about the memo,such as title, length, memory size and date andtime when the memo was recorded.Erase All (Menu 5-1-3)This menu allows you to erase all of the voicememos and voice answers. When a confirmingmessage displays, select Yes and press the OK softkey.
