Messages78Inbox (Menu 3-3)Your phone can store SMS messages and theircorresponding Caller ID in your UIM card andphone’s memories. When your memory is full, thescreen displays a text notification and rejectsadditional incoming messages until you erase theobsolete ones.Text messagesWhen the phone receives a text message, the NewText Message icon ( ) and a text notification withthe call back number appear. Press the Select softkey to view the message immediately.When you access the Phone menu (Menu 3-2-1)or Card menu (Menu 3-2-2), a list of the receivedmessage displays. An icon displayed in the listmeans the message’s status:• : displays when you have read the message.• : means that the message is urgent.• : indicates that a duplicated message.While viewing the message list, press the Up orDown key to scroll to a message and:• Press the View soft key to view the message youwant. The phone displays the contents. Ifnecessary, press the Up or Down key to scanthrough the message.While viewing a message, press the Menu softkey to use the following options:Forward: allows you to send the message toother people.Call/Save: shows the sender’s number of themessage. Press the key to make a call to theMessages79sender’s phone number. Press the Save soft keyto save it.Erase: erases the message from your Inbox.To Card: allows you to move the message fromthe phone’s memory to the UIM card. Thisoption is only available when you select amessage stored in the phone’s memory.To Phone: allows you to move the messagefrom the UIM card to the phone’s memory. Thisoption is only available when you select amessage stored in the UIM card.• While viewing a message, press the Reply softkey to send a reply message to the sender.• Press the Menu soft key to access the followingoptions:Erase: allows you to erase the selectedmessage.Erase Multi: allows you to erase the messagesyou selected by pressing the Check soft key.Erase all: allows you to erase all of themessages.Voice messagesWhen you receive a voice mail message, the textnotification displays. Press the key, and thephone dials the voice mail center. Then follow thevoice prompts from the system to listen to themessage.You can also check your voice messages byaccessing the Voice mail (Menu 3-2-3).
