Phone Book68Add New Entry (Menu 2-2)This menu allows you to add a new entry to yourPhonebook by saving a phone number, an e-mailaddress, or a memo.Adding a new entry using a numberIn the Phone memory, a name can contain up to 5numbers in different categories; Home, Office,Mobile, Pager, and Fax. You can save only onenumber with a name in the Card memory.1. After accessing the Add menu (Menu 2-2),select Number from the pop-up list and pressthe Select soft key.2. Enter a number you want to save and press theSave soft key.3. When New Entry highlights, press the Savesoft key.4. Enter a name and press the OK soft key.For more information about how to entercharacters, see page 39.5. Your phone shows the entry information. Pressthe Up or Down key to scroll through the items.• Name: Press the Edit soft key to change thename you entered in step 4, if necessary. Youcan enter a name in this step if one has notalready been entered.• Storage: shows the memory where thenumber is stored. The card memory isautomatically selected for storing the number.Phone Book69• Location number: The first available locationdisplays. If you need to enter the locationnumber using the number keys or press theLeft or Right key until the location number youwant to use appears.• Number: shows the number you entered instep 2. You can change the number or insert apause using the Pause soft key.6. To save the number in the card, skip to step 10.To save it in the phone’s memory, highlight thestorage or location number field and press thePhone soft key. Continue the next steps.7. Choose a type icon, Home, Office, Mobile,Pager, or Fax, using the Navigation keys andpress the Select soft key.8.
