Menu functions Messages (Menu 5)73• Language: select the preferred languagesin which broadcast messages display.SOS messages (Menu 5.6)In an emergency, you can send SOS messagesto your family or friends for help. You can alsoreceive SOS messages from other people whoare in an emergency. Use this menu to specifyoptions for sending and receiving SOSmessages.• Sending options: set up the options forsending SOS messages.Sending SOS: activate or deactivate theSOS message feature. To send an SOSmessage, press [+/-] 4 times in Idle mode,with the phone closed.Recipients: specify the phone numbers towhich you want to send SOS messages.Repeats: set the number of times thephone repeats sending SOS messages.Message: check the preset SOS messagetext.• Receiving options: set up the option forreceiving SOS messages.Alert type: set whether or not the phoneuses the preset alert type (siren and alertmessage) for incoming SOS messages. Ifyou select Normal, the phone uses themessage ringer setting.While the phone is attempting to send anSOS message, turns to red and youcannot access menu functions in thismode.
