Options During a Call48To switch between the two calls, simply press theSwap soft key.The current call is placed on hold and the call onhold is reactivated so that you can continueconversing with the other person.When you want to finish, end each call normally bypressing the key.Switching the Microphone Off (Mute)You can temporarily switch your phone’smicrophone off so that the other person cannothear you.Example: You wish to say something to anotherperson in the room but do not want theother person to hear you.To switch the microphone off temporarily:1. If the Mute Keys option is selected, your phonedoes not transmit the key tones. It allows you topress keys without hearing annoying key tonesduring a call.Note: To communicate with answering machines orcomputerised telephone systems, the SendKeys option must be selected.Sending DTMF TonesYou can send the DTMF (dual tone multi-frequency)tones corresponding to a number entered during acall.This option is helpful for entering a password oraccount number when you call an automatedsystem, like a banking service.To send the DTMF tones:1. When you are connected to the teleservicesystem, press the Options soft key.2. Press the key to highlight the Send DTMFoption.3. Press the OK soft key.4. Enter the number you want to send and pressthe OK soft key.The tones of the displayed number are sent.
