• If you cannot use a memory card that hasbeen used with another device, format itwith your camcorder. Note that formattingerases all information on the memory card.• A memory card has a certain life span. Ifyou cannot record new data, you have topurchase a new memory card.• A memory card is a precision electronicmedia. Do not bend it, drop it, or cause astrong impact.• Do not place foreign substances on thememory card terminals. Use a soft drycloth to clean the terminals if required.• Do not paste anything other than the labelprovided with the card on the label pastingsection.• Be careful to keep the memory card out ofthe reach of children, who might swallowit.Notes on use• Samsung is not responsible for data lossdue to misuse.• We recommend using a memory cardcase to avoid losing data from moving andstatic electricity.• After a period of use, the memory cardmay get warm. This is normal and is not amalfunction.The camcorder supports SD andSDHC memory cards for data storagepreference!The data storage speed may differ,according to the manufacturer andproduction system.• SLC (single level cell) system: fasterwrite speed enabled.• MLC (multi level cell) system: onlylower write speed is supported.For best results, we recommend usinga memory card that supports fasterwrite speed.Using a lower write speed memorycard for recording video may causedifficulties when storing.You may even lose your video dataduring the recording.In an attempt to preserve any bit of therecorded video, the camcorder forciblystores the movie on the memory cardand displays a warning:“Low speed card. Please record alower resolution.”If you are unavoidably using a lowspeed memory card, resolution andquality of the recording may be lowerthan the set value. pages 47~48The higher the resolution and quality,the more memory will be used.
