GROUNDING OR POLARIZATION:This CAMCORDER may be equipped with either apolarized 2-wire AC line plug (a plug having one bladewider than the other) or a 3-wire grounding type plug,a plug having a third (grounding) pin. If you are unableto insert the plug fully into the outlet, try reversing theplug. If the plug still fails to fit, contact your electricianto replace your outlet. OUTDOOR ANTENNA GROUNDING:CAMCORDER, be sure the antenna or cable system isgrounded to provide some protection against voltagesurges and built-up static charges, Section 810 of theNational Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA No. 70-1984,provides information with respect to proper groundingof the mast and supporting structure, grounding of thelead-in wire and supporting structure, grounding of themast and supporting structure, grounding of the lead-in wire to an antenna discharge unit, size of groundingto conductors, location of antenna-discharge unit,connection to grounding electrodes and requirements forthe grounding electrode. LIGHTNING:For added protection of this CAMCORDER during alightning storm or when it is left unattended and unusedfor long periods of time, unplug it from the wall outletand disconnect the antenna or cable system. This willprevent damage to the CAMCORDER due to lightningand powerline surges.22. POWER LINES:An outside antenna system should not be located inthe vicinity of overhead power lines or other electriclight or power circuits where it can fall into such powerlines or circuits. When installing an outside antennasystem, extreme care should be taken to keep fromtouching such power lines or circuits as contact withthem might be fatal.23. OVERLOADING:Do not overload wall outlets and extension cords as thiscan result in a risk of fire or electric shock.24. OBJECTS AND LIQUIDS:Never push objects of any kind into this CAMCORDERthrough openings as they may touch dangerous voltagepoints or short out a part that could result in a fire orelectric shock. Never spill liquids of any kind onto theCAMCORDER. Should spillage occur, unplug unit andhave it checked by a technician before use.25.
