63 Sounds and NotificationsSettingsConfigure the sounds andvibrations used to indicatenotifications, screen touches,and other activities.Change the Sound ModeYou can switch between sound modes, whilepreserving the individual sound settings you havemade.1. From a Home screen, tap Apps > Settings> Sounds and notifications.2. Tap Sound mode, and then choose a mode:• Sound: Your device uses the sounds,vibrations, and volume levels you have chosenin Sound settings for notifications and alerts.• Vibrate: Your device vibrates for notificationsand alerts. This uses the Vibration intensityyou choose in Sound settings.• Mute: Your device mutes all sounds andnotifications.VolumeSet the system volume level, and set default volumefor call ringtones, notifications, and other audio.Tip: You can also set System volume from the Homescreen by pressing the Volume key.1.
