Recording settingsHow to set58EnglishUse this screen for motion sensor setting on a live videoscreen to detect moving objects such as intruders, andgenerate alarms. The motion sensor detects movement based onintensity-changes on the screen. It is necessary to usesensor settings that are appropriate for both the location ofthe sensor and for the observed objects.1CursorThe default location of the cursor is the upper left corner. Usethe J-dial to move it horizontally.2Sensor setting rangeThe motion sensor can be set within this screen area.3Motion sensorThe type of sensor can be selected according to the detectionlocation. Use the J-dial to change the type of the sensor.–:Sensor turned offA:Sensor A is used for detectionB:Sensor B is used for detection4Camera number display (CH01)Selects the camera number for the motion sensor.Use the camera selection buttons to change the cameranumber.Selections:CH01/CH02 ... CH15/CH165Time period (T-1)The time period settings for four periods of the day (forexample: T-1 "Early morning", T-2 "Morning", T-3 "Daytime" andT-4 "Evening") allow for using different surveillance methods, such as masking early morning, and automatic sequencedaytime. This DVR has two timers (A and B) for setting timeperiods in two blocks, and separate sensors can be set up foreach period.Refer to the section about setting the time periods. (P37)Selections:T-1/T-2/T-3/T-46LEVELSets the sensitivity of the motion sensor.OFF:Sensitivity is not set.1 (High sensitivity) ~ 10:Selects the sensitivity as a numeric value.☞Motion sensor sensitivity checkWhen the sensor detects movement, the green () symbolchanges to red, and a buzzer (beeper) goes off.If the sensitivity is set high, a slight change in the lighting maytrigger the sensor. Set the sensitivity appropriate for the settinglocation.☞Stopping the motion sensor recordingDisplay the screen while recordingis in progress, and turn the S-dial clockwise. The motion sensorscreen appears. Press the camera selection button of thecurrent camera, and set LEVEL "OFF".7MODESets the detection method of the motion sensor.Selections:A:Detects moving objects at the location of sensor A.B:Detects moving objects at the location of sensor B.A AND B:Detects simultaneous movement of objects at location Aand B.A AND NB:Detects moving objects at location A when there is nomovement at the same time at location B. If sensor A is setto a moving object, and sensor B is set to a non-movingobject, then changes occurring at both places, such aschanges in lighting will not be detected. Only moving objectsat location A will be detected.A TO B:Detects objects moving from location A to location B (timefrom A to B is within 2 seconds).B TO A:Detects objects moving from location B to location A (timefrom B to A is within 2 seconds).C:Detects when the intensity on the entire screen becomeseven (for example vandals spray-painting the camera). There is no need to set a location for the sensor.G-4Motion sensor screen descriptionCH01T-1LEVEL:OFFMODE:A1234 567
