RECORD SET3English 69Use the following procedure to perform series recordingwhen this digital video recorder is connected to otherdigital video recorders.If series recording is set and normal recording area oralarm recording area remaining memory runs out,recording can be continued on a another digital videorecorder. In doing so, recording to recording area withremaining memory is stopped.Connect multiple digital video recorders and use seriesrecording to record and save more video.1 Connecting series connectionterminals.Connect the series output terminal of the first recorder tothe series input terminal of the second recorder, and fromthe series output terminal of the second recorder to theseries input terminal of the third recorder and so on, in theorder that you want to record.To setup an overwriting series connection, connect theseries output terminal of the last recorder to the seriesinput terminal of the first.z Use a connection cable less than 3 m in length.z For an overwriting series connection, when the lastdigital video recorder runs out of memory, the first takesover recording.2 Connecting VIDEO terminals.Connect camera to the VIDEO IN terminal of the firstrecorder. Connect the VIDEO OUT terminal of the firstrecorder to the VIDEO IN terminal of the second recorder.Be sure to connect to the same channel. Connect to otherdigital video recorders in the following order using theVIDEO OUT terminal.3 Connecting audio input terminals.For audio recording, connect audio devices such as ampsand microphones to the various digital audio recorderaudio input terminals or microphone input terminals.z An audio device cannot be connected from the audiooutput terminal on one digital video recorder to theaudio input terminal on the next as for video. Connectdevices to each recorder directly.4 Connecting alarm input and externaltimer input terminals.For recording using external alarms or external timers,connect a sensor or timer device to the digital videorecorder.Connect to the external device with a cable, and connectthe first recorder to the second recorder with anothercable.
