In this case, there isno need to turn the radio off and then on in orderto return the radio to normal operation.Sending a status messageYour radio may be able to maintain a record of yourcurrent status. This status may be sent with outgoingcalls programmed to contain status information. If theradio receiving your message has been programmedwith the same status messages, it will decode anddisplay your message. The message indicates yourcurrent activity or location, such as “en route” or “atlunch”.To change you current status:
