After making the setting, press the F1 key to restartthe clock from the newly set value.The display returns to the SETUP screen.NOTEYou cannot see the time and date information of audio files on theunit.Inserting an SD cardInsert an SD card and push it until it clicks fully into place.Removing the SD cardPress the inserted SD card.NOTEDo not remove the SD card during recording and playback, andwhile the SD indicator is flashing (writing data).When using a new SD cardWhen using a new SD card, it is recommended to format iton the unit before starting to use it. (∑ page 49 “Formattingan SD card”).Using an SD card formatted on other devices or a PC mayincrease the possibility of recording errors.CAUTIONTake enough care when formatting as all the data on an SD card,including those written by other equipment, will be erased.Write protectionAn SD card has the write protection switch. When you tryto record on a protected card, the error message “ProtectedCard” appears and you cannot record on it.NOTEThe error message appears only when you try to record on aprotected SD card. No message appears when the unit tries and failsto write information such as the order of audio files and the positionof markers on the protected SD card.Loading a discNOTEYou can load a disc while the unit is turned on.1. Insert a disc halfway into the slot facing the label sidefront, as illustrated.2. Push the disc into the slot until the disc is automati-cally brought in.CAUTIONYou cannot insert a disc when the unit is turned off.•When a disc is not loaded properly, draw out the disc and press•the øEJECT key, then try to load it again. DO NOT push the discin forcedly. It may damage the unit and the disc.
