19AudioThe IF-FW/DM MK II only presents some of its channels to theWindows XP built in audio manager. This allows you to routeaudio from a non-DAW application such as Windows MediaPlayer to your mixer. The IF-FW/DM MK II Control Panel(described later) has controls to enable this function and also letsyou choose which of the 32 channels the WDM audio is sentthrough.To enable this in Windows, first navigate to StartÆControlPanelÆSounds and Audio DevicesÆAudio Tab and select “IF-FW/DM mkII WDM Audio”Note that audio supplied through WDM and routed to the IF-FW/DM MK II in this way will be summed to any audio beingsupplied via ASIO, so always check that Windows Sounds will notinterfere with your regular DAW recording or mixing sessions.For a computer dedicated to audio, TASCAM recommends turningoff all Windows sounds.
