24System ClockingMaster ClockWhen configured with an IF-FW/DM MK II, the mixer must be themaster clock relative to the computer DAW. The mixer itself maybe clocked to an external source other than the DAW.Clock SettingsWhen switching the clock rate of the mixer, or of any externaldevice that is the clock master in your system, the following stepsare required for correct operation:1. Stop any audio playing from the DAW or computer.2. Close the DAW application.3. Change the sample rate on the mixer (or external clocksource)4. Re-launch the DAW application.96k & 88.2k OperationThe IF-FW/DM MK II supports the full 32x32 input outputconfiguration at high sampling rates. This will put extra strain onyour computer’s CPU and OS, so a higher latency audio buffersetting or an Input/Output setting of 16 channels may be required. For these sampling rates, TASCAM recommends the followingcomputer specifications:Windows• 2GHz Pentium® 4 or higher.• 1GByte MemoryMac• Any G5 PPC Mac, or Intel Mac 1.5 GHz or higher.• 1GByte Memory.
