10 – MiniDisc editing—Combine tracksTASCAM MD-CD1 Owner’s Manual 43Combine tracksTwo successive tracks can be combined into onetrack by deleting the track mark of the second track.Example: To combine B and CNOTESuccessive tracks recorded with different recordingmodes cannot be combined into a single track.1 Put the deck in play or in playback standbyon the second of the two tracks to be com-bined.For example, if tracks 2 and 3 are to be com-bined, play track 3 or put it in playbackstandby mode.2 Select the “COMBINE?” option on the EDITsub-menu of the MD menu.“Track OK?” is displayed, and a 3-secondsegment from the end of the first track and a3-second segment from the start of the sec-ond track are successively played backrepeatedly to enable confirmation.3 Press the ENTER key (or the YES key) onthe front panel, or the ENT/YES key on theremote control.After the tracks are combined, “Complete” isshown on the display.NOTEIf both tracks have titles, the combined track will takethe title of the first of the two tracks.Move tracksTracks can be moved to different positions in theplaying order.Example: To move D from track number 4 totrack number 21 Put the deck in play or in playback standbyon the track to be moved.NOTEIf the above step is not performed first, and the follow-ing operations are performed while the deck is in stopmode, the last track will automatically be selected asthe track to be moved.2 Select the “MOVE?” option on the EDITsub-menu of the MD menu.“Move ***>### “ is displayed, with *** rep-resenting the number of the track to bemoved, and ### representing the track num-ber where it will be moved.3 Use the MULTI JOG dial on the front panel,or the MENU -/+ key on the remote controlto select the track number where it will bemoved.4 Press the ENTER key (or the YES key) onthe front panel, or the ENT/YES key on theremote control.“Sure?” is displayed.5 Press the ENTER key (or the YES key) onthe front panel, or the ENT/YES key on theremote control.After the track is moved, “Complete” isshown on the display.
