It is partic-ularly efficient for title input.Keyboard type settingThe MD-CD1 must be set for the type of keyboardbeing connected.1 Set the type using the “KEYBOARD?”option on the SYSTEM sub-menu of the CDmenu.Select US for an English-language keyboard,or JPN for a Japanese-language keyboard.Title input by keyboardTitles can be input just like typing on a PC.To enter the Title Edit menuPress SHIFT + F7 to enter the Group Title EditMenu.“Title Grp>##” is shown on the display.Press SHIFT + F8 to enter the Disc/Track Title EditMenu.“Title> ##” is shown on the display.To select the type of characters for inputPress CAPS to select or cancel upper case lettersPress the (katakana) key to select or cancelJapanese characters (Japanese-language keyboardsonly)If both of the above are cancelled, lower case lettersare inputTo input charactersCharacter input is performed directly with the letterand number keys.To move the cursorUse the cursor arrow keys ←and →).To delete charactersDelete key: deletes the character in the cursor posi-tionBack space key: deletes the character before the cur-sor positionTo insert a characterUse the Insert key.To change a characterPut the cursor on its position and input the desiredcharacter.Other keyboard operationsThe keyboard can be used not only for title input, butalso to control the deck transports, perform editingfunctions and other operations.
