TASCAM X-9 Owner’s Manual 216 – FadersThe X-9 faders are not all that they appear at firstsight! Their behavior can be changed so that their“curve” can fit your way of working, so that they canbe pulled or pushed to increase the level, and theycan also start and stop other devices connected to theX-9. See below for details.Program fader “curve”The fader “curve” decides how much the signal is cutthen the fader is moved to the center position awayfrom the “full on” position. The program faders can be set individually (they donot all have to share the same setting). The titles in this illustration refer to the explanationregarding setting as given in “Program fader curve”on page 19 (15Fc).Program fader directionAs shipped, the faders on the X-9 work so that whenyou push them away from you, the level of the signalincreases. When the faders are pulled towards you,the level decreases. Some people prefer to work the other way round, sothat pulling the faders towards you increases the vol-ume.
