7 EffectsTASCAM X-9 Owner’s Manual 25Recalling stored effect settingsThere are two procedures, depending on whether theEFFECT key is lit or not.If the EFFECT key is lit…1 Press and hold theFUNCTION key forabout two seconds. Thedisplay shows MEMO(MEMO).2 Turn the DATA knob coun-terclockwise so that theeffect RECALL indicator isflashing.3 Press the ENTER key. The RECALLindicator now lights steadily.4 Turn the DATA knob to choose between thenumbers of the slots which have been filled(the numbers of empty slots are not shown)and dFLt (dFLt—default).5 Press the ENTER key to recall thesettings. The effect is activated, andafter one second, the X-9 returns tothe “recalled” status in step 3.Alternatively:If the EFFECT key is not lit…1 Press and hold theFUNCTION key forabout two seconds.The RECALL indica-tor lights.2 Turn the DATA knob to choosebetween the numbers of the slotswhich have been filled (the numbersof empty slots are not shown) anddFLt (dFLt—default).3 Press the ENTER key to recall thesettings. The effect is activated (butcannot be heard until the EFFECTkey is lit), and after one second, the X-9returns to the “recall ready” status in step 2.In both cases:Exit the store/recall mode by pressing theFUNCTION key for about 2 seconds or press-ing the EFFECT key or changing the effecttype with the effect selection control.TIPYou can clear all stored effect settings using the menusystem (25Ec).
