Whenever a hydraulic cylinder,drive motor or hydraulic pump is replaced, themaximum speed setting should be adjusted tomaintain optimum performance. The maximumspeed settings on the joystick can be changed tocompensate for hydraulic pump wear to maintainpeak performance from the machine.Note: Perform this procedure with the boom in thestowed position.1 Enter the Service Mode. See RepairProcedure, How to Enter the Service Mode.2 Press the SETTINGS button above the displayscreen.3 Select SPEEDS from the display screen.4 Navigate to the desired function's MaximumSpeed setting.5 Select the desired setting to change and pressOK.6 In the parameter adjustment screen, use thedisplay buttons to change the parameter. Notethat the factory default speed is considered100% for maximum speeds.7 Scroll and press OK. The change is effectiveimmediately.8 Start the engine from the ground controls.9 Start a timer and activate the machine functionthat needs to be adjusted. Using the groundcontrol functions is the same as asking for fulljoystick deflection at the platform.10 Record the time it takes for that function tocomplete a full cycle (ie; boom up).11 Compare the machine function time with thefunction times listed in Refer to Specifications,Performance Specifications. Determinewhether the function time needs to increase ordecrease.12 Adjust the parameter in the ground display toachieve the proper function cycle time.
