ELECTRICAL CABLING AND CONNECTIONS vacon • 8766.2.1 Control board power-upThe control board can be powered (+24 V) in two different ways: either 1) directly from the powerboard ASIC, terminal X10 or/and 2) externally using the customer’s own power source. The twoways of supplying the board can be used simultaneously. This voltage is sufficient for parametersetting and for keeping the fieldbus active.By factory default, the control unit is powered using the terminal X10 on the power board. However,if an external supply is used to power up the control unit, a load resistor must be connected toterminal X10 on the power board. This applies to all chassis ≥ CH61.6.2.2 Control connectionsThe basic control connections for boards A1 and A2 are shown in Chapter 6.2.3.The signal descriptions are presented in the All in One Application Manual.Figure 43.The I/O terminals of the two ba-sic boardsBoard OPT-A1in slot ABoard OPT-A2in slot B11353_ukFigure 44.General wiring diagram of the basic I/Oboard (OPT-A1)+10VrefAI1+GNDAI2+AI2-24VoutGNDDIN1DIN2DIN3CMA24VoutGNDDIN4DIN5DIN6CMBAO1+AO1-DO1123456789101112131415161718192024 VGND24 VGNDU<+48VI<50mA+0(4)/20mAR C <500Ωnk6_13Basic I/O boardOPT-A1Reference(voltage)Reference(current)Dotted line indicates the connection with inverted signals11354_ukPhone: 800.894.0412 - Fax: 888.723.4773 - Web: www.clrwtr.com - Email: info@clrwtr.com
