13geoTHERM exclusive VWS 0020051614_00 installation instructions4 Assembly and installation4.1 AccessoriesYou can fit the following accessories to expand the heatpump system. You can find more detailed informationon the installation of accessories in Chap. 5.9.Information on potentially required accessories. Please see the current price list.Mixer module VR 60With the mixer module, you can expand the control sys-tem of the heating installation by two mixer circuits. You can connect a maximum of six mixer modules.VR 90 remote control unitA separate remote control device can be connected forthe first eight heating circuits (heat zone 1 - heatzone 8).VR 10 standard sensorAdditional sensors may be required, e.g. as flow, return, collector or cylinder sensors, depending on the configu-ration of the system.vrDIALOG 810/2vrDialog is a communications unit with software andconnecting cable which enables you to carry out diagno-sis, monitoring and parameter setting on the heat pumpfrom a computer.vrnetDIALOG 840/2, 860/2The vrnetDIALOG communications unit enables you tocarry out remote diagnosis, monitoring and parametersetting on the heat pump from a computer over a tele-phone connection or via an integrated GSM modem.VPS heating water buffer cylinderThe buffer cylinder VPS functions as buffer store forheating water and can be mounted between the heatpump and the heating circuit. It provides the requiredenergy to bridge the cut-off times of the supply unit op-erator (VNB)4.2 Requirements of the installation siteInstall the geoTEHRM heat pump with integrated domes-tic hot water cylinder in a suitable position in the build-ing and at the same time, pay attention to the following:– Choose a dry room that is generally frost-proof. Afrost protection thermostat must be installed if neces-sary.– The floor must be level and sufficiently stable to beable to bear the weight of the heat pump, togetherwith the DHW and possibly a buffer tank.– Floor unevenness should be able to be levelled fromthe adjustable feet of geoTHERM heat pump– An appropriate water supply pipe can be connecteddirectly from the mains water stop valve of the build-ing with the geoTHERM heat pump.– It must be possible to install suitable pipe conduits(for heat source, DHW and heating).– The discharge pipe from the tundish must be installedat a minimum slope of 1:200 and end at a safe and vis-ible point, see section 4.7, "Requirements for the do-mestic hot water cylinder".– There must be enough room for the assembly, check-ing and pressure build-up of the expansion vessel.– When choosing the installation site, bear in mind thatwhen operating, the heat pump can transmit vibra-tions to the floor or nearby walls.– In accordance with DIN EN 378 T1, the minimum sizeof the installation space for heat pumps, (V min), is cal-culated as follows:Vmin = G/cG = coolant fill quantity in kgc = practical limit in kg/m3(for R 407C c = 0.31 kg/m3)This yields the following minimum installation space:Heat pump type Coolant fillquantity [kg]Minimum installationspace [m3 ]VWS 63/2 230V GB 1.9 6.1VWS 83/2 230V GB 2.2 7.1VWS 103/2 230 V GB 2.05 6.6Table 4.1 Minimum installation spaceAssembly and installation 4
