51geoTHERM exclusive VWS 0020051614_00 installation instructionsa Caution!Overloading of the heat source! If too much energy is extracted from theheat source while drying out a floor (e.g.in the winter months), the source can beoverloaded and itsregeneration impaired. When the function is started, the current time of thestart is saved. The day is changed exactly at this time. After network-off/-on, the floor-drying begins as follows:Last day before mains off Start after mains on1 - 151617 - 2324 - 2829116172429Table 8.2 Progress of the screed floor drying following mainsoff/onIf you do not wish to carry out the drying with the speci-fied temperatures and/or times, you can specify varia-ble flow temperature setpoints by means of fixed valuecontrolling (see following section). When doing this, takenote of the applicable compressor hysteresis (settablevia vrDIALOG, see Chap. 8.10).Legionella protectThe purpose of the "Legionella protect" function is tokill off germs in the DHW tank and in the pipes.Once a week, the domestic hot water cylinder is raisedto a temperature of approx. 70 °C.The expert technician activates the "Legionella protect"function in the Code level and there can set a startingtime and a starting day (weekday) on which the heatingis to take place (see Table 8.4, Menu C9).Remote parameter setting/alerting/diagnosticsIt is possible to diagnose and adjust the heat pump byremote commands via vrDIALOG 810/2 or vrnetDIALOG840/2 or 860/2. You will find more detailed informationon this in the respective manuals.8.3.3 Auxiliary functions via vrDIALOGUsing its computer-supported graphics visualisation andconfiguration, vrDIALOG 810/2 (eBUS) enables you tooptimise heating appliances and control systems andthus make use of their energy saving potential. Both ofthem enable you to create a visual impression of theprocesses in your control system and influence them atany time. The programmes enable you to record andgraphically prepare system data, to load device configu-rations and change and save them online and to save in-formation in the form of reports.Using vrDIALOG 810/2, you can make all the settings forthe heat pump as well as other settings for optimisation.See Chap. 8.10.Acceleration modeThis operating mode simplifies the diagnosis of heatpump functions by speeding up the energy balancing inhydraulic plan 1 or 3 by a factor of 60. It is used as atest function.See Chap. 8.10.Fixed value controllingUsing this function you can set, via vrDIALOG, a fixedflow temperature independently of the weather-control-led control system. See Chap. 8.10.8.4 Description of the controller8.4.1 Possible system circuitsThe controller can control the following system circuits:– a heating circuit,– an indirectly heated hot water storage tank,– a hot water circulation pump,– a buffer circuit. In order to extend the system a buffer circuit can beused to connect up to six additional mixer circuit mod-ules VR 60 (accessories) each with two mixer circuits. The controller on the operating panel of the heat pumpis used to programme the mixer circuits. For convenient operation, you can connect the VR 90remote control unit for the first eight heating circuits(see Chap. 4.15).8.4.2 Energy balance controllerEnergy balance control is applicable only to hydraulicswithout buffer cylinders (hydraulic plans 6).For economical and fault-free operation of a heat pump,it is important to regiment the starting of the compres-sor. The start-up of the compressor is the point at whichthe highest loading occurs. With the help of the energybalance controller it is possible to minimise starts of theheat pump without compromising the comfort of apleasant room atmosphere. As with other weather-controlled heating controllers thecontroller determines a supply set target temperatureby capturing the outside temperature through a heatingcurve. The energy balance calculation is carried outbased on this supply set target temperature and thesupply real temperature the difference of which ismeasured per minute and added up:1 degree minute [°min] = 1 K temperature difference inthe course of 1 minuteController 8
