If the hazardwarning lights do not flash on activation,this may indicate that a door or the bonnetis not fully closed.To deactivatePress the c button on the remote control,the hazard warning lights flash once.If the alarm has been triggered, the hazardwarning lights will not flash upondeactivation.When unlocking the vehicle using the key,the alarm will sound; to deactivate, insertthe key and switch on the ignition.NoteThe anti-theft alarm system cannot bedeactivated in any other way so keep aspare key in a safe place.AlarmDuring a switch-on phase the sensors cantrigger a maximum of 10 times 1) .The alarm takes the form of:z an acoustic signal (horn, 25 seconds)andz a visual signal 1) (hazard warning lights,25 seconds).Passenger compartment monitoringWhen the anti-theft alarm is activated, thesystem automatically monitors the insideof the vehicle for movement.To disable the passenger compartmentmonitoring, (for example if an animal is leftin the vehicle):z Press and hold the e button on theremote control.z An audible beep will sound to confirmthat the passenger compartmentmonitoring function is disabled.The disable monitoring function will remainuntil the alarm is deactivated or the doorsunlocked.Alarm back-up system 3The alarm system has a battery back-upsiren unit which, in the event of its powersupply being disconnected ordisconnection of the vehicle battery, willsound for approx. 5 minutes on its internalbatteries.If the vehicle battery has to bedisconnected it will be necessary todeactivate the alarm system.To stop the siren if activated, reconnect thevehicle battery and press the rear c buttonon remote control.1) Varies from country to country on account ofnational regulations
