PROFINET IO 750-340 • 77Configuration and Parameter Setting of I/O ModulesWAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750PROFINET IO3.1.5.4 Establishing the ConnectionBefore starting the productive data exchange between the I/O controller andthe I/O device, individual communication instances are created within thePROFINET IO context management and the I/O configuration (targetconfiguration) of the modules is notified. After the connection structure hasbeen checked and once the actual configuration has been adjusted (optional),the I/O device receives all necessary operating settings (parameters) so thatthe cyclic data exchange via "record data" sets can be established. Both thebuscoupler and the connected I/O modules are supplied with parameters. Onceall settings have been made, the I/O device signals that it is ready to send andreceive cyclic productive data.3.1.6 Configuration and Parameter Setting of I/O ModulesSetting the parameters of I/O modules is performed via "record data" sets.Modules with diagnostics capability allow the diagnostics message to belocked or released for each channel. Digital outputs provide the possibility ofswitching a configurable substitute value for each channel in the case ofinvalid output information.Possible configuration and parameter values can be found in chapter 5.3,"Configuration and Parameter Setting of the Modules".NoteFor simplification, only the item numbers are shown as module designation inthe table.
