P a p e r T r a y s2-12v 4 5 2 0 / 4 5 2 0 m p U s e r ’ s G u i d eThe single-sheet bypass feeder (SBF) provides for manuallyfeeding a single sheet of paper or labels, a singletransparency, or a single envelope (See Figure 2.7).Figure 2.7 SBFAs its name implies, the SBF bypasses the upper, middle, andlower input printing paths.Typical uses of the SBF include printing the first page of adocument on letterhead paper or pre-printed stationery, andprinting any page of a document on paper of a different size,color, or other attribute. See Figure 2.12 (page 2-26) for longedge or short edge paper orientation.Insert paper into the SBF only when needed. Do not storepaper in the SBF. If there is paper in it, the printer will printfrom the SBF first, regardless of paper size.To use letterhead, pre-printed stationery, or drilled paper inthe SBF, see Figure 2.14 (page 2-28) for paper orientation.
