Check the linear scale specifications andfeedback signal conditions.Noise is presentin the scale signal. When the detection reference is repeatedly output sev-eral times in the same direction, noise may occur in thescale signal, resulting in malfunction. Check that theFG of the serial converter unit and linear servomotor isconnected to FG of the SERVOPACK, and that FG ofthe SERVOPACK is connected to the power supply FG.Also check that the encoder cable is securely sealed. The moving coil isbeing subjected toan external force. If the moving coil is subjected to a gravity or/and anexternal force such as cable tension, and the speed feed-back is not 0 regardless of a 0 detection reference, polarity detection will be poor. Reduce the external force and make the speed feedback0. If the external force can not be reduced, increase thevalue of the changes in the sequence input signal allo-cation for each signal (Pn481).The linear scaleresolution isrough. When the linear scale pitch is 100 m min., the SER-VOPACK cannot detect correct speed feedback.Use a linear scale with good scale pitch precision(within 40 m is recommended).Alternatively, increase the value of the polarity detec-tion reference speed (Pn485).The range of linear servomotor movement at polaritydetection, however, will increase.2Overtraveldetection atpolarity detection(A.C51)The OT signalwas detectedduring polaritydetectionThe alarm A.C51 occurs when the OT signal is detectedduring polarity detection. Before executing the polaritydetection, place the motor to the position where the OTsignal is not detected.
