Do not install an out-board motor with more horsepowerthan the maximum rating on the capac-ity plate of the boat. If the boat doesnot have a capacity plate, consult theboat manufacturer. The information presented in this sec-tion is intended as reference only. It isnot possible to provide completeinstructions for every possible boat/motor combination. Proper mountingdepends in part on experience and thespecific boat/motor combination.@WARNING@Improper mounting of the outboardmotor could result in hazardous condi-tions such as poor handling, loss of con-trol, or fire hazards. Observe thefollowing: For portable models, your dealer orother person experienced in properoutboard motor mounting shouldshow you how to mount your motor.@Mount the outboard motor on the center line(keel line) of the boat, and ensure that theboat itself is well balanced.
