The correct trim angle will helpimprove performance and fuel economywhile reducing strain on the engine. The cor-rect trim angle depends upon the combina-tion of boat, engine, and propeller. Correcttrim is also affected by variables such as theload in the boat, sea conditions, and runningspeed.WARNING@Excessive trim for the operating condi-tions (either trim up or trim down) cancause boat instability and can makesteering the boat more difficult.
