Check:• Throttle position sensorRefer to “CHECKING AND ADJUSTINGTHE THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR” onpage 7-9.EAS00819CHECKING THE FUEL PUMPWARNINGGasoline is extremely flammable and undercertain circumstances there can be a dan-ger of an explosion or fire. Be extremelycareful and note the following points:• Stop the engine before refueling.• Do not smoke, and keep away from openflames, sparks, or any other source of fire.• If you do accidentally spill gasoline, wipe itup immediately with dry rags.• If gasoline touches the engine when it ishot, a fire may occur. Put the end of the fuel hose into an opencontainer.c. Connect a battery (DC 12 V) to the fuelpump coupler as shown.d. If fuel flows out of the fuel hose, the fuelpump is OK.
